Adopt-A-Beast aims to help farmers restock and replenish herds during times of natural disasters.


Adopt-A-Beast update with president Nathalie Grassi


After a journey of nearly two years Adopt-a-Beast has been officially listed as a non-for-profit charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission.

I personally would like to thank the Rockhampton Regional Council and the Rockynats organisers for giving us the opportunity to hold a drinks stall over the Easter weekend.


We had such an amazing time, the public were fantastic, the atmosphere was fabulous and I hope that we can be there again next year


We held our Mother’s Day raffle draw on 30 April at the Gracemere Hotel and the lucky winners are as follows and their prizes:


First prize winner: Nicole McLeod, prize included $450 photo shoot voucher (Jaime Lee Photography, Gracemere), $100 voucher (The One Life Centre, Rockhampton), $90 Floral arrangement (Rockhampton Florist), $60 voucher (Royal Punjabi Restaurant, Rockhampton).


Second prize winner: Kristy Studdert, prize: $140 Funtastic Cruises voucher (Keppel Bay), $105 voucher Restore Massage Clinic (Rockhampton), $80 worth of products (Lisa’s Bargain Box, Goondiwindi), $50 voucher from Every Bloomin Thing (Rockhampton), $50 voucher Katie Lauren (Rockhampton).


Third prize winner Gaye: $100 voucher PJ’s Petbarn (Rockhampton), $50 voucher Leah Green Photography (Emu Park), $25 gift card Coco Brew (Rockhampton), $25 voucher Awesome Nails (Rockhampton).


Congratulations to all our lucky winners. Special thankyou to Gracemere Shopping World, Gracemere Hotel, all the businesses that donated so generously and to everyone that purchased tickets to support our cause.


More than 400 tickets were sold and and we raised $897.
